Some Sample Syllabi:
From 2014-2017 I was a TA Fellow with USC's Center for Excellence in Teaching. Each Fall and Spring semester I led the university-wide TA training. Throughout the school year I also organized panels on topics such as teaching controversial topics and sensitive issues in the classroom, and together with colleagues we developed a diversity training seminar for USC teaching assistants. For a list of the events, see here.
In 2015 I helped co-organize the MAP SoCal Regional Multi-Campus Working Group on Philosophy and Inclusive Pedagogy. In 2016 launched a philosophy program for at-risk youth at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Further, in my role as public humanities program director at the Levan Institute I have mentored undergraduate outreach projects and created an ethics boot camp for professional students. I also launched USC’s collaboration with the Prison Education Project, and have designed curriculum for their affiliated institutions. In Fall 2017 I am excited to be leading a course, Intro to Ethics and Big Philosophical Ideas, at the Santa Fe Springs Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program.
